When the Desert Whispers(a passage)
The desert once awakened fear and despair;but its where God is found to show His wonders toward one of faith.I may come through in cuts and scrapes or dissolve into a tiny pillar of salt;but I dare to dream because I am certain that I will see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living. In my weakness of heart,a formless mass of chaos God is the difference hovering above my head and extended before me like the ancient pillar guiding the Israelite camp. The purple hue of the evening firmament is settling in far above the desert plain. Sustenance cannot just be expected in a valley passing between dunes thickly layered in sifting sand much like the collapsing folds of sand; then rising higher being sifted as debris is removed and taken by the movement of the earth revealing to unearth a buried relic,an artifact embedded in the sands of time pouring through the hour glass within the depths of this heart. Im setting apart an experience in my life with expectant waiting in reverential awe for the Lord to show the miraculous concerning what I am to do with my life and His will to be revealed. I will lift up my eyes, and open my mouth for the coming rain like manna. If you should wander from the artificial beauty along the path of all that has been done before, and embark on a wilderness retreat. If you listen, it is not the chirping cicadas that will linger on but the sonorous notes will ring out because this is my song.
